Sept. 23, 2002

The Tire Rack has been working out of its Newark, Del., warehouse since opening it in 1998 -- until today.

The new warehouse, in New Castle, Del., has 215,000 square feet of space. According to Matt Edmonds, The Tire Rack's director of marketing, it features a state-of-the-art warehousing system, the same one used by the company at its main headquarters in South Bend, Ind.

The Tire Rack sells 14 tire brands out of its four warehouses: BFGoodrich, Bridgestone, Continental, Dunlop, Firestone, General, Goodyear, Hoosier, Kumho, Michelin, Pirelli, Sumitomo, Uniroyal and Yokohama. It also inventories 20 wheel brands; 11 of the wheel brands are exclusive.
