Peerless Tyre to add store in New Mexico

Denver, Colo.-based Peerless Tyre Co. is building a new store in Albuquerque, N.M.

"We hope to open it in mid-August," says Peerless Tyre President Sam Forbes. The store will span 4,000 square feet and will only sell tires and wheels.

Peerless Tyre has 58 retail stores throughout Colorado, New Mexico, Wyoming and four other states, making it the 12th largest independent tire store chain in the U.S., according to the 2008 edition of the MTD 100, an exclusive look at the 100 largest independent tire store chains in the U.S.

The 2009 edition of the MTD 100 will be published next month.
