Michelin North America Inc. has unveiled details of its Michelin Development plan set to launch in the Opelika, Ala., area on Nov. 1.
Michelin Development focuses on job creation by facilitating low interest loans to qualified start-up, small and medium-sized businesses.
The program also gives business owners access to Michelin's in-house business expertise.
Michelin Development Director John Tully has started meeting with key business, government and community leaders in Opelika, where Michelin has a plant that is scheduled to be shuttered by Oct. 31, 2009.
