Corghi discusses plans for North American market

"We are not limiting ourselves at all" in terms of new products for the North American market, Claudio Spiritelli, Corghi's director of U.S. operations, said during the recent Autopromotec show in Bologna, Italy.

Corghi, which sells tire changers and balancers in North America, will bring its alignment machines to the domestic market in 2010.

"We know aligners are an important product in the North American market," Spiritelli told www.moderntiredealer.com.

Corghi opened its new North American office in Hamilton, Ohio, on May 16. The office includes a warehouse, showroom and training facility, which offers training for both Corghi equipment end users and technicians who service Corghi equipment.

"We can train up to 30 people at the same time." Corghi also offers Internet training, which is free of charge to customers. "Our trainers are available to go to customers' locations when needed."

Corghi will inventory 5,000 spare parts in Hamilton, with same-day shipping to service centers.

"We are also directly linked to Italy," said Spiritelli. "We can see what we have in stock in Italy in case of emergencies. We have a service where we can order directly from Italy and have it delivered within 48 hours."

Spiritelli added that Corghi will continue to sell through its current network of distributors, which includes Myers Tire Supply and other companies.
