April 29, 2008

The Tire Industry Association (TIA) has hired Richard Porter as the new manager of public relations and promotions.

In this newly-created position, Porter will be responsible for increasing both the visibility of the association and its benefits of membership. He also will be involved in the overall communications efforts of the association as media liaison.

Porter brings more than 10 years of communications experience with him, and has previously worked for associations and public relations firms. He has experience in virtually all aspects of marketing communications, including public relations, advertising, collateral material production, and communications strategy development.

"With the addition of this new position, we feel we are making a positive step forward in spreading TIA's message to the entire industry," says Executive Vice President Roy Littlefield.
