Renezeder takes Unlimited 4 wins at Lucas Oil Off-Road Racing Series

Off-road racing champion Carl Renezeder brought home his career-milestone 80th and 81st wins over the weekend, taking first place in Unlimited 4 at the Lucas Oil Off-Road Racing Series event at Speedworld Off-Road Park May 2-3.  Renezeder, racing on General Tire Grabber SC short course competition tires, held off tight competition both days to score the first place position for Team General Tire.

“The combination of Carl’s driving skills and the traction and control the new Grabber SC tires are proving to be a dominating blend for winning short course races,” said Travis Roffler, Director of Marketing, General Tire.  “Team Renezeder and General Tire have dominated short course racing this season winning 5 of the first 8 Unlimited 2 and Unlimited 4 races this year.”

“It was a hard-fought battle all weekend long, but the truck and the Grabber SC tires held out to give us a win over a very competitive field,” Renezeder said.

General Tire is again ‘unleashing the fury’ in off-road performance for 2009, with the new Grabber Short Course tire, the Grabber SC, designed in size 35x12.50R17 for Unlimited 2 and Unlimited 4 drivers. Engineered with a tough, three-ply Duragen™-reinforced body construction to stand up to the rigors of off-road conditions, the Grabber SC also features a newly-developed competition-specific tread compound. In addition, the Grabber name and General Tire logo are prominently featured on the sidewall in red and white letters. The Grabber SC is the sister tire to the Grabber desert tire designed in size 37x12.50R17 for class 8 and trophy truck/trick truck; and 35x12.50R17 for class 1, 6, 7, 7 S, stock mini and Protruck.
