20th anniversary Automechanika Frankfurt planned for September
Messe Frankfurt Exhibition GmbH expects over 4,600 exhibitors and around 160,000 trade visitors to attend the 20th anniversary Automechanika Frankfurt.
The international trade fair for the automobile sector will be held at Frankfurt am Main in Germany on September 16-21, 2008.
The fair made its debut in 1971. The main theme of this year's event will be global warming and its impact on the automotive aftermarket. Subjects covered will include the significance of the latest innovations in the fields of emissions protection and CO2 reduction for the parts market. A 'Green Directory' will be offered that draws attention to products distinguished by energy and material efficiency or advances in emissions protection. At the Automechanika
Academy, too, experts will discuss the reaction of the trade to demands for CO2 reductions.
Held every two years, Automechanika Frankfurt offers trade visitors a range of products in the automobile parts, car wash, workshop and filling-station equipment, accessories and tuning sectors.
Around 40% of trade visitors and 80% of exhibitors at the last event came from outside Germany, fair organizers note.
Automechanika fairs are held worldwide at 12 venues on three continents. Upcoming events include:
