Compu-Power forms RFID business unit

Compu-Power Inc. has formed a new business unit dedicated to RFID technology and applications.

Named RFID-Pros, the unit's specialiy is RFID-powered asset inventorying and tracking utilizing the company's ASSETracs software.

ASSETracs is currently being used by commercial, government and military organizations, the company reports.

"RFID-Pros will continue its history of research and development into new and fruitful uses of RFID technology," say company officials. "With penetration in applications including vehicle access tracking and control, manufacturing, WIP control, shipping, receiving, non-invasive pet tagging, file tracking and more, RFID-Pros hits the ground running with RFID solutions that are already tested and proven to work."

Ron Black, Compu-Power president, says, “We want to give character to this significant business segment and further develop its identity.
