Conti wants to sell fuel transport, tank bleeding units

April 23, 2008

Continental AG plans to sell its fuel transport and tank bleeding systems businesses, part of the company's Powertrain Division.

While profitable, transport and tank bleeding systems are not core businesses for Continental, says Karl-Thomas Neumann, the Continental board member responsible for the Powertrain Division. "We have decided to sell after an in-depth analysis."

The businesses, which employ 3,500 people worldwide, achieved total sales of 450 million euros last year.
