Distribution at industrial tire manufacturer GPX International Tire Corp.'s Hayward, Calif., facility will cease on March 1.
Pneumatic tires will be shipped from GPX's Houston, Texas, facility, while solid tires will be shipped from the company's new facility in Santa Fe Springs, Calif.
"GPX has launched a company-wide initiative to improve its productivity and international distribution network," say company officials.
"Due to unprecedented economic pressures in the market, comprehensive reviews have been carried out to best determine where we can serve our customer base most efficiently."
