Feb. 11, 2009

Service Tire Truck Centers (STTC) has opened a new, 85,000-square-foot Michelin Retread Technologies Inc. retread and sales/service facility in York, Pa.

The new location replaces STTC's existing York outlet. It boasts a variety of features, including:

* multiple truck drive-in service bays.

* state-of-the-art air compressors and cyclones for reduced energy consumption.

* high-efficiency motion sensitive lighting.

* a custom powder coat process with an automatic phosphate dip tank and a high-efficiency curing oven.

"We needed a new facility to have another production hub to meet our increased production needs," says STTC co-owner and COO Walt Dealtrey Jr. "It also allowed us to install the newest equipment to ensure that we make retreads of the highest quality.

"This is just one of the many major investments that STTC continues to make to offer our customers and associates the finest commercial tire products and services."

STTC -- which is based in Bethlehem, Pa. -- has 26 commercial locations covering central and eastern Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, New York and Virginia.
