TIA examines compensation for various jobs via new survey

Dec. 6, 2006

The Tire Industry Association (TIA) is collecting compensation information about 16 key tire industry jobs via its 2006 Tire Industry Compensation Survey.

"We recognize that in today’s job market, employers often wonder what kind of compensation they should offer to remain competitive," says TIA Executive Vice President Roy Littlefield.

"We believe the tire industry compensation survey will be a great tool to assist members with their human resources needs."

Jobs covered will include facility manager, road service technician, commercial and retail center technicians and others, according to TIA officials.

The survey is being conducted in cooperation with Salary.com, a nationally recognized company that specializes in compensation surveys and software.

"The survey is available to TIA members and those that participate will receive a free copy of the survey, a $395.00 value."

Deadline for participation in the survey is Jan. 26, 2007.
