Michelin North America Inc., in conjunction with Wal-Mart Stores Inc., will conduct free vehicle safety checks at two Wal-Mart stores in metropolitan Detroit. The promotion will be held Nov. 17-18.
The seven-point check will be performed in the Wal-Mart parking lots while motorists remain in their cars. They also will receive a monthly vehicle safety checklist and a tire tread wear indicator.
Mr. Bib, the Michelin Man, will be on hand to greet motorists and their children.
Michelin says the checks will help prepare motorists for holiday travel and the inclement weather season.
Michelin supplies its Michelin, BFGoodrich and Uniroyal brands to Wal-Mart's Tire & Lube Express units.
