Coker Tire Co. is sponsoring the Coker Tire Challenge in Chattanooga, Tenn., a three-day, 575-mile rally race event to prepare drivers for the Great Race U.S.A.

According to the Chattanooga Times Free Press,, nearly 50 cars were signed up to run in the first Coker Tire Challenge. It also lets veteran drivers have fun and see Tennessee and Georgia’s beautiful fall colors, event sponsor Joseph “Corky” Coker said.

The event measures distance and speed. Drivers and navigators travel about eight hours a day over three days. There are two categories, "Dash for Cash" and "Run for Fun." Prizes are awarded for top finishers.

The Great Race U.S.A. is a two-week cross-country event. Next year's event, the 25 anniversary race, is tentatively scheduled for June 30 to July 14.

Coker, CEO of Coker Tire, and Jack Roush, one of NASCAR’s leading team owners, are two of the owners of Rally Partners Inc., the company focused on bringing experiential automotive events to consumers both nationally and internationally through Great Race events.
