Kumho launches EDGE dealer training program

Kumho Tire U.S.A. Inc. has a new online dealer training program available to its dealers. It is called EDGE, for "Education, Driving, Growth and Excellence."

"A strong training program brings tremendous value to dealers and the company," says Charles van Heusden, manager of training and product development. "As we continue to expand our product line, we recognize the need to provide a structured training program that will help dealer sales associates become more familiar with our company and our products."

EDGE includes a broad range of information about Kumho products and the company in general, as well as industry information on tire technology. Interactive quizzes at the end of each section help reinforce the material in the program.

Future additions to EDGE will include information on plus-size fitments, tire pressure monitoring systems, selling skills and medium commercial truck tires.

"We think dealers will like EDGE because it offers great content and because it's an online program," says van Heusden. "An online program offers flexibility that video or printed training programs can't offer."
