Veteran Denver tire dealer Jim Paris dies

Long-time Denver, Colo.-based tire dealer Jim Paris died on Oct. 26, at the age of 67. He was CEO of Jim Paris Tire City, one of Colorado's most successful tire dealerships.

Jim Paris Tire was founded by Jim's father, James M. Paris, in the 1960's as primarily a retail operation.

Under Jim's guidance, the dealership has grown to encompass five retail stores and two warehouses, one in Denver and another in Grand Junction, Colo.

He is survived by his wife, Becky; sons, Steve and Jamie; daughter, Susan; sisters, Lynne and Jeanne; brother and company Vice President Robert Paris; and other relatives. His funeral will be held Thursday, Nov. 2, in Denver.

Jim Paris Tire President Dave Hazleton will be running Jim Paris Tire, according to a company spokesman.
