SEMA Show will spotlight TPMS education

Oct. 11, 2006

This year's SEMA (Specialty Equipment Market Association) Show will include a number of tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) training seminars. They will be moderated by TPMS expert and Tire Industry Association Senior Vice President of Education and Technical Services Kevin Rohlwing.

The seminars will be presented at 2 p.m. on Oct. 31, Nov. 1 and Nov. 2 in the Las Vegas Convention Center.

Each seminar will discuss what vehicle manufacturers and TPMS manufacturers are doing to meet the needs of the aftermarket and how tire dealers should properly service the systems that are in use.

Seminars also will address fitments, recalibration procedures, troubleshooting and system standardization.

Companies participating each day include: General Motors Corp. and Schrader Electronics on Oct. 31; DaimlerChrysler and Siemens VDO on Nov. 1; and GM, DaimlerChrysler, Schrader, Siemens, Beru Corp., and EnTire Solutions, all of whom will take part in a panel discussion on Nov. 2.

The 2006 SEMA Show will be held Oct. 31-Nov. 3.

Rohlwing also is a regular contributor to Modern Tire Dealer magazine.
