More than 2,700 visitors from 44 countries attended Tyrexpo Africa 2006, which was recently held in South Africa.
Companies that participated in the three-day event included Continental AG, Groupe Michelin, Bandag Inc., Stamford Tyres Corp. and others.
"For those entering the African market for the first time, the show was a good initial exploratory opportunity which also highlighted the need for a long-term commitment plan in order to establish their products and brand name within the African market," say representatives from United Kingdom-based ECI International Ltd., which organized the convention.
