Tire industry veteran Anne Evans has been appointed to serve on the Council of Probate Judicial Conduct in Connecticut.
The council acts on complaints filed against any of the state's 123 elected probate judges. Probate courts in Connecticut have jurisdiction over trusts and estates, determine civil commitments, determine parenting rights in cases where unfit parents are removed as guardians of their children, and other functions.
Evans is the chairman and CEO of EER Ltd. and Tyres 2000 Ltd., both based in Hebron, Conn. EER is a scrap tire consulting and management company. Tyres 2000 exports and imports tires internationally.
