Contract talks between Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. and the United Steelworkers resumed last week.
The Akron, Ohio-based tiremaker had spent the past few weeks analyzing details of the new contract between the union and Michelin North America Inc., say Goodyear officials.
"The negotiating committees have been meeting to review and clarify their positions on various key issues."
The parties are meeting in Cincinnati, Ohio.
