The Tire Retread Information Bureau (TRIB) will hold its tire thumping contest at the Great American Trucking Show, Aug. 24-26, in Dallas, Texas.
"Based on the success of our tire thumping contest at recent trucking shows, and by popular demand, we will be challenging truckers to try their luck in telling how much air pressure a tire holds by thumping instead of using a tire gauge," says TRIB Managing Director Harvey Brodsky.
"Anyone who comes within 5% of the actual air pressure in the tire will come away with a prize furnished by TRIB member Arvin Meritor, the co-sponsor of the contest.
"There will be a grand prize for any trucker who hits the correct air pressure right on the money."
The show will be held at the Dallas Convention Center.
