The New York Tire Dealers Association has selected John Boyle, president of Englewood Tire Wholesale, as its "2006 Man of the Year."
He is the first tire dealer selected for the NYTDA's prestigious honor, The board of directors considered many factors in choosing Boyle, including his support of the NYTDA and other industry associations.
Last year, the board selected Mark Emkes, chairman and CEO of Bridgestone Americas Holding Inc., as the first Man of the Year recipient from a tire manufacturer.
Boyle will be honored at a black tie dinner and dance aboard the Majestic Star Yacht on Sept. 16, 2006. The ship will leave from New York City and cruise around Manhattan.
