Cooper Tire recorded a net loss of $5.1 million on net sales of $597 million for the first quarter ended March 31, 2006. The 16% increase in net sales was a quarterly record for the company.
Cooper's stock price on the New York Stock Exchange closed at $9.06 a share on Friday, July 21. That compared to a 52-week high and low of $21 and $9.33, respectively.
