Continental proceeds with Motorola deal

Order Reprints

The European Union Commission has approved Continental AG's purchase of Motorola Inc.'s electronics business.

The transaction involves Motorola's vehicle control, sensor, interior electronics and telematics business.

It will "significantly increase Continental's product portfolio and research and development capabilities in body and sensor electronics, as well as powertrain and chassis controls," say Continental officials.

The acquisition is expected to close next month.
