Nokian posts sales gains through March

Nokian Tyres plc's net sales through March 2006 totaled 149.4 million euros.

This was a 15.4% increase over the same period during the previous year.

In addition, Nokian's operating profit totaled 13.4 million euros.

"The goal for 2006 is to achieve steady growth in sales, (plus) a stable, upward trend in profits and better capital management," say Nokian officials.
