Bridgestone Corp. will build a plant in Hungary that will use its automated BIRD (Bridgestone Innovative & Rational Development) tire manufacturing system.
Construction will be done by the end of 2007, say Bridgestone officials.
The plant will build more than 8,000 passenger and light truck tires a day by 2009, they estimate.
