Goodyear offers 'free air' for motorists

May 24, 2006

Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. is offering free air pressure checks at any of 750 Goodyear company-owned or participating independent tire dealer locations throughout the country.

"With many Americans on the verge of long-distance summer driving trips and the price of gas likely to remain high, motorists all over the country will be looking for ways to make vehicle fuel mileage work in their favor," say Goodyear officials.

"One of the fastest, easiest and least expensive ways to improve a vehicle's gas mileage is through proper tire inflation."

If tires are found to be underinflated, they will be topped off at no charge. Goodyear's "Free Air" campaign also includes tread condition checks.
