Production of Stamford Tires & Wheels Inc.'s Cougar medium truck tire line is scheduled to start next month, says Stamford Tires Vice President and COO Jim Seidel.
The steer and drive tires will be available in the United States in July or August, he told moderntiredealer.com earlier today.
They will be distributed through distribution centers in Charlotte, N.C., and Miami, Fla.
"Between the two, we'll have 100,000 square feet" of warehouse space.
Stamford will initially concentrate Cougar distribution on the East Coast and Southeast.
"We're expanding into a full line of trailer tires," says Seidel.
