Bandag follows status quo with dividend

For the third consecutive quarter, Bandag Inc.'s board of directors declared a regular quarterly dividend of $.335 per share on its common stock, Class A common stock and Class B common stock.

The dividend is payable July 20, 2006, to shareholders of record at the close of business on June 20, 2006.

Bandag's common stock closed at $39.16 a share on the New York Stock Exchange on May 15. That compares to a 52-week high of $47.93 and low of $38.99. Bandag's Class A common stock closed at $33.14 a share versus a 52-week high of $42.59 and low of $33.10.

Bandag's Class B common stock is unlisted.

For the first quarter ended March 31, 2006, Bandag reported a net loss of $12.6 million on consolidated net sales of $212.4 million.
