TIA replaces World Tire Expo with Commercial Tire and Retreading Conference

May 3, 2006

The Tire Industry Association (TIA) will hold its first TIA Commercial Tire and Retreading Conference Feb. 6-8, 2007, in Tampa, Fla. The event replaces the World Tire Expo, which was last held in 2005.

The conference will be held in conjunction with the Technology & Maintenance Council (TMC) Transportation Technology Exhibition at the Tampa Convention Center.

"By holding these two events at the Tampa Convention Center, exhibitors will have the opportunity for the first time to meet not only buyers in the trucking industry, but also decision makers in the commercial and retreading markets," say TIA officials.

"Conference registrants will have the opportunity to attend the TMC exhibition, various TIA seminars, workshops, and panel discussions with industry experts during the conference."

TIA President Bob Malerba says the association is committed "to providing the commercial and retread industries with an event to educate personnel, exchange ideas and meet with suppliers and manufacturers. By holding our conference in conjunction with TMC's Exhibition, both groups will benefit."
