Toyo Tire (U.S.A.) Corp.'s plant in Bartow County, Ga., is using tire testing machines made by Massillon, Ohio-based Standards Testing Laboratories (STL).
"STL has been involved with tire testing for Toyo Tire for several years," say STL officials. "However, this is the first test machinery order STL has delivered to (Toyo)."
The equipment includes STL's newest linear way design and PLC/computer controls.
"We were very proud to have designed and manufactured test machinery for Toyo's first plant in the United States," says Bryce Hudson, head of STL's FM Machinery Division.
"We were also involved with training Toyo's employees to assure efficient operation of our equipment."
