Pirelli Tire North America Inc. recently released an all-new
interactive training module for its dealers. It is accessible to all Pirelli dealers via their Web connection to the company.
The self-certification program includes nine chapters designed to
give a deep understanding of all aspects of the tire business. There are chapters on tire marking and sizing, speed ratings, tire components, manufacturing technology and tire maintenance.
Two chapters, "Selling Tires" and "Know Your Customer," are geared towared sales training. There also is complete information on Pirelli's range of products.
The new training site features simple navigation and ultra-clear images; only basic computer skills are required to use the program, according to the company.
Once successfully completed, the system will allow the correspondent to download a certificate of completion.
As part of the same program, but in a separate "Advanced Training" module, Pirelli has added six chapters on run-flat tires. The specialized training includes the use of on-screen video
demonstrations.
