Want to help run TIA? Here's how

March 10, 2006

The Tire Industry Association (TIA) is accepting nominations for service on its 2006-2007 board of directors.

"Any TIA member in good standing or an official representative of a state tire dealer association may recommend another member in good standing," says Dick Gust, TIA nominating committee chairman and past president. "We also accept self-nominations."

All nominations should be submitted by April 14, 2006, by completing and returning the TIA Board of Directors Nomination form to the TIA office in Bowie, Md. Nominations must be received no later than 5 p.m. EST on April 14, 2006, to be considered.

The nomination form is located on the home page of TIA's Web site, www.tireindustry.org, under "Hot News."

If you do not have access to the Internet, please call the TIA office at (800) 876-8372 x109 or send an e-mail to [email protected] to request a board nomination form.

"TIA is looking for members who are committed to the growth of the tire industry," says TIA Executive Vice President Roy Littlefield.

"Becoming a volunteer member is a major time commitment with conference calls and meetings throughout the year. We believe the investment of time is definitely worth the experience (they) receive."
