Nokian shuffles management at home office

Nokian Tyres plc has made a number of changes at its home office in Finland.

Among them:

* Vice President of Purchases and Logistics Kari-Pekka Laaksonen has been promoted to vice president, sales and logistics.

* Vice President of Car And Van Tyres Antero Juopperi has been appointed senior vice president of strategy. He is responsible for all of Nokian's Russian business activities, plus the company's R&D and corporate development.

* Vice President of Finance and Control Rami Helminen has been appointed vice president, car and van tyres.

* Treasurer Anne Leskelä has been appointed acting vice president, finance and control.

Laaksonen, Juopperi, Helminen and Leskelä report to Kim Gran, President and CEO of Nokian Tyres.

In related news, Vice President of Nokian Truck Tyres Alexej von Bagh has been appointed COO of Nokian's Vianor Holding unit and also managing director of Vianor.
