B&J Manufacturing unveils new carbide

March 17, 2008

B&J Manufacturing Co. has unveiled the B&J 2" Carbide, a throw-away carbide that eliminates the need for retreaders to collect used cores.

B&J officials say the carbide saves "retreaders and distributors the hassle and expense of collecting and boxing used cores to be sent back to suppliers for re-gritting."

"Replacing carbides today is anything but a smooth process," says B&J Director of Sales Todd Hart. "Storing used cores, shipping them back, taking delivery of re-gritted cores...(is) a headache for shops and distributors."
