March 2, 2006

Michelin North America Inc.'s Ardmore, Okla., plant has qualified for membership in the Environmental Protection Agency's National Environmental Performance Track program.

The program "rewards both public and private facilities that consistently exceed regulatory requirements, work closely with their communities, and excel in protecting the environment and public health," say Michelin officials.

The Ardmore plant can produce 41,000 passenger tires and 4,000 light truck tires at full capacity, according to Modern Tire Dealer research.
