Hankook Tire America Corp. has posted a record $3 million motorsports contingency program for the 2006 motorsports season.

"Motorsports is increasingly important to Hankook as we continue to build our brand image within the racing community and with consumers," says Hankook Tire Marketing Director Bill Bainbridge. "Our $3 million contingency is one of the largest and best in grassroots racing, and should help get drivers closer to experiencing Hankook high performance quality on race tracks nationwide."

The 2006 program has been greatly expanded, and now includes the following motorsports events: SCCA National, SCCA Regional, NASA, SCCA ProSolo, SCCA Solo Nationals, International Conference of Sports Car Clubs (ICSCC), Midwestern Council, Rally America National Championship (RANC), United States Rally Championship (USRC), East Coast Rally Championship (ECRC), NASA California Rally Series (CRS), Rally America Regional Championship (RARC), Western States Rally Championship Series (WSRC), BMW Car Club of America (BMWCCA), Porsche Club of America (PCA), Porsche Owners Club (POC), and the newly created United States Endurance Racing Association (USERA).

Hankook notes it has increased Rally support, with all of last year’s Rally contingencies expanded and several new programs added.
