Nokian Tyres plc is rolling out a new studded passenger tire, the Hakkapeliitta 5, and a new studded SUV tire, the Hakkapeliitta Sport Utility 5.
"The most significant innovation in the new tires is the 'bear claw,' which enhances stud performance," say Nokian officials.
The tires will be available in Nordic countries and Russia. Nokian has not said if they will eventually be sold in North America.
