Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. has signed an agreement with YRC Worldwide Inc. to supply the transportation company with replacement truck tires and truck tire retreads. (YRC was formally known as Yellow Roadway Corp.)
Goodyear will provide tires and retreads for several of YRC's operating companies, including YRC Regional Transportation, in North America through 2008.
"We believe that by using our national network of commercial tire centers, YRC Regional Transportation will improve its efficiency in maintaining its fleet," says Steve McClellan, vice president of Goodyear's commercial tire systems.
YRC Regional Transportation was created in May 2005.
