Jan. 4, 2006

Titan Tire Corp. has hired Jeff Vasichek as vice president of sales and marketing. In his new position, he will be responsible for integrating Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co.'s farm tire sales and marketing with Titan's tire and wheel business.

Most recently, Vasichek was general manager of farm tires for Goodyear. He joined the company in 1986.

Titan Chairman and CEO Morry Taylor said Vasichek's experience with both aftermarket and OE customers "will help us continue to develop and grow our business...."

Titan International Inc., Titan Tire's parent company, completed its acquistion of Goodyear's farm tire division for $100 million in late December. The transaction included Goodyear's farm tire plant in Freeport, Ill., and inventories. Titan also gained exclusive rights to build and market Goodyear brand farm tires throughout North America.
