Fountain Tire senior VP retires

Fountain Tire Corp. Senior Vice President Leroy Hawtin has retired after 43 years at the Edmonton, Alberta-based company.

Hawtin started with Fountain Tire at the age of 18. He rose through the ranks, working as store manager, store supervisor, and other positions. He also owned and managed various stores.

In 1990, he moved to Fountain Tire's main office and became the first Fountain Tire executive with store management experience to work at the office since the mid-1970s.

During his retirement, Hawtin plans to spend time with his wife, Bev, his children, and grandchildren.
