Ecsta 4X is honored for its 'Good Design'

Kumho Tire U.S.A. Inc.'s Kumho Ecsta 4X is the winner of a 2012 Good Design Award.

The ultra-high performance all-season tire was honored by the Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design in cooperation with the European Centre for Architecture, Art, Design and Urban Studies. It was launched in August 2011.

"We all know what an excellent tire the Ecsta 4X is, but it is honors such as the Good Design Award and consumer feedback that really prove the quality," says Rick Brennan, Kumho's vice president of marketing.

"We urge consumers and dealers alike to not just take our word on the excellent performance of this tire, but see the test results and read the reviews. This tire really can speak for itself.”

The tire was honored in the "transporation" category, alongside noteworthy companies such as BMW AG, Hyundai Motor Co. and the Boeing Co.

Since its beginning in 1950, the annual Good Design Award has been given to new consumer products designed and manufactured in Europe, Asia, Africa and North and South America.
