Are you managing your brand?

Dec. 27, 2012

A brand is a powerful element of any business. Some brands are lifestyles, like Harley-Davidson and NASCAR. Other brands don’t even need words -- the logo says it all (think of Apple Inc.’s logo or the Olympic rings).

According to Kevin Rohlwing, TIA’s senior vice president of training, logos inspire a feeling. He says you can’t control a brand; you can only guide it and influence it.

What are ways a tire dealer can influence the shop’s brand? There are a number of ways, and they are both physical (as in the shop’s appearance), and behavioral (as in core values and customer service philosophy).

Rohlwing recently conducted a session on branding, and Modern Tire Dealer’s Senior Editor Bob Bissler was there. Find out what you can do to guide and influence the brand of your business in his latest blog titled “Brand your reputation.”
