Sanjay Chowbey was recently named president of Hennessy Industries Inc. He had his coming out party at the 2012 Specialty Equipment Market Association Show.
Chowbey joined Hennessy after spending six years with Gilbarco Veeder-Root (Gilbarco Inc.), a technology provider for the petroleum industry. Most recently, Chowbey served as vce president of the commercial and industrial business unit.
He has extensive domestic and international business experience in general management and "functional capacity," including operations, service, acquisition and integration.
Prior to joining Gilbarco, Chowbey spent more than 12 years with the former ArvinMeritor Inc. (now Meritor Inc.) and Arvin Industries Inc. During that time, he held roles of increasing responsibility, from director of operations to general manager.
It was there that he was first introduced to auto parts users and retailers, working with Sears Holdings Corp., Pep Boys-Manny, Moe & Jack, AutoZone Inc., Advanced Auto Parts, CarQuest Corp. and several customers in Asia, the Middle East, and Australia.
