Rohr takes over human resources at Bridgestone

Dec. 14, 2012

Darrin Rohr has been named chief human resource officer for Bridgestone Americas Inc. He succeeds Patti James, who is serving as Bridgestone's vice president of shared services, a post she accepted earlier this year.

Rohr (pictured) has an extensive background in working with companies to develop top workplace cultures. Two of his former companies were recognized by the Great Places to Work Institute during his tenure:

1. Quintiles Inc., a global pharmaceutical services company, ranked as a top 25 "Global Best Place to Work," and

2. Charles Schwab & Co. Inc., ranked as a top 10 "U.S. Best Place to Work."

Rohr also has held high-level human resources positions at other large companies, including Lenovo, Yamana Gold Inc. and Pennzoil-Quaker State Co., where he played key roles in building workplace culture.

“We are looking forward to using Darrin’s talent and expertise to build on our strengths and implement cultural change that will take our workplace to the next level," says Gary Garfield, CEO and president.
