Grow a mustache with TGI, support men’s health

Nov. 8, 2012

Tire Group International (TGI) has joined the Movember 2012 movement and is challenging all male team members, associates and customers to grow their Mo’s (mustaches) during November.

The movement is intended to raise awareness and funds for men’s health issues, especially prostate and testicular cancer initiatives.

Movember is supported by the Prostate Cancer Foundation (PCF) and the LIVESTRONG Foundation. Using the mustache as a symbol, it aims to change the face of men’s health issues making sure world-class programs in the areas of awareness and education, survivorship and research are being supported.

TGI says it is proud to be associated with Movember and wants to be an inspiration to all team members. TGI also wants to inspire the tire industry to be part of this important cause.

“We believe is important to start a conversation about men’s health issues, especially in this industry that so many men are a part of,” says Joaquin Gonzalez Jr., TGI’s CMO. “We have understood that simply by growing a mustache we can change lives.”
