Brian Hayes, vice president of manufacturing for Purcell Tire & Rubber Co., is the incoming president of the Tire Retread and Repair Information Bureau (TRIB).
He was elected to a two-year term at the annual TRIB board of directors meeting on Oct. 29, 2012, in Las Vegas, Nev. His term will begin Jan. 1, 2013.
Hayes has spent his entire 24-year professional career with Purcell Tire. In 1996, he was promoted to manager of the Fenton retread plant in St. Louis, Mo., and then manager of the retread plant in Potosi, Mo.
He was promoted to vice president of manufacturing in 2004, and has responsibility over five commercial retread plants and one OTR retread plant.
"Brian is a respected leader in the retread industry," says outgoing TRIB President Bob Majewski. "His wealth of experience will continue to benefit our board of directors, our association and the industry as a whole."
