The Rubber Manufacturers Association (RMA) has elected Tom Dattilo as the organization's chairman of the board of directors for a two-year term. Dattilo is chairman, CEO and president of Cooper Tire & Rubber Co.
Dattilo succeeds Jim Micali, chairman and president of Michelin North America Inc. "Jim Micali played a significant leadership role for RMA and the industry during a particularly demanding time and we appreciate his dedication and service," says Donald Shea, RMA CEO and president.
"RMA members are confident that Tom will provide the strong leadership that is needed to face critical challenges in the coming months," says Micali.
The RMA board chairman position is rotated among RMA board members.
"RMA is the leading voice for tiremakers on public policy issues," says Dattilo. "More than ever, our industry needs an effective organization that works to achieve consensus among companies and then vigorously advocates and communicates the industry's positions."
