SEMA Show, Day Two: OTR tire for winter use

Oct. 31, 2012

Double Coin Holdings Ltd. and the China Manufacturers Alliance LLC (CMA) introduced a radial off-the-road tire at the 2012 Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show in Las Vegas, Nev.

The Double Coin REM-28S is designed for use on loaders, graders and mobile cranes in winter applications “where enhanced winter performance is required, without compromise of traction or durability,” says the company.

The REM-28S features a wide footprint, offers excellent flotation, zigzag siping and proven tread block design that increases winter condition performance. The Three Star (***) Mobile Crane version is D.O.T.- certified for on-highway use.

Aaron Murphy, vice president of CMA, says Double Coin will continue to produce products “that focus on quality, innovation and application-specific needs.”

The REM-28S is available in three sizes:

1. 385/95R24** (grader),

2. 17.5R25**/20.5R25** (loader) and

3. 385/95R24*** (high speed mobile crane). Additional sizes are under development for 2013, adds Murphy.

The REM-28S adds to the line-up of Double Coin’s diverse array of radial OTR tire products that includes small, large and giant tires for earthmoving, mining and construction application. (Double Coin is displaying its new 4000R57 giant OTR tire in booth No. 40177 at the Tire Industry Association's Global Tire Expo section of the SEMA Show.)

CMA also introduced two truck tires, the OptiGreen Series FD425 wide-base tire and the RSD3 premium drive tire, at the show. Click here to read more about them.
