Interstate launches high-accessory battery

Oct. 25, 2012

Today’s vehicles are equipped with more electronics than ever before and Interstate Batteries is meeting the power demand and cranking dependability with its new MT7 absorbed glass mat (AGM) battery, available in group sizes 34, 65 and 78.

Interstate says the MT7 AGM battery is ideal for handling the cranking and reserve power demands of these highly accessorized vehicles. Interstate says its newest AGM battery is ideally suited to accommodate the cycling demands for drivers who plug in additional devices, such as cellphones, backup sensors and GPS navigators.

The new battery features Interstate’s Pure Matrix Power, a 99.99% pure, non-alloy lead in ultra-thin plates. The combination of pure lead without the common impurities of alloyed lead and increased surface area of the thinner plates results in a battery that performs at a high level in both cranking the engine and powering electrical accessories over and over again.

“Interstate Batteries continues to be a leader in delivering technology that provides excellence in portable power solutions for the automotive market,” Interstate Batteries CEO Carlos Sepulveda said. “This new battery is an example of our marketing and production professionals spending years analyzing the marketplace’s portable power needs.”

The MT7 AGM battery will be featured at Interstate Batteries’ exhibit area (Booth 3471) during the Automotive Aftermarket Products Expo (AAPEX) Oct. 30-Nov. 1, 2012, at the Sands Expo Center in Las Vegas, Nev.
